LIPITOR >> THIEF OF MEMORY ?
LIPITOR, THIEF OF MEMORY: Does Lipitor and other statin drugs really cause loss of memory? Is this just another slick marketing play that does not really help us live longer? This is even more pertinent in my case because I might be a candidate for Lipitor in the future.

Mark, I am on Zocor and have been for about 2 years now. My memory is the same as it was when I was 19. As we age we lose some of our memory anyway. I’ll be 40 shortly and I think that I remember more now than I did when I was 30.
Comment by Sara 8/29/2004 @ 11:58 amI am 81 years old and have had high chlostral for many years and a visit to my cardiologist 4 years ago resulted in angioplasty and the insertation of a “stent” , my doctor then put me on mevacor buchanged that to Lipitor after about 1 year. I have been taking Lipitor for about 3 years now have noticed a rather sharp decline in my memory during the last year. It has gotten so bad that 2 weeks also I had an appointment with my family practioner (MD) for just that complaint: alarming memory loss: what followed next is unreal – - I had this appointment for (:45 AM on a Tuesday
