Stephen Hawking flip flops on Black Hole Theory: I had lunch (well, I had lunch, he sipped, well not sipped, held on to, a feeding tube) with the man in 1999 at the Atlanta APS meeting. He had been thinking about and working on the Black hole theories for 30 years and now goes back on his hypothesis to say that black holes might actually release their information once they are created and have sucked in on energy. In other words, once a black hole is formed and things fall into it, it opens up to release information about what fell into or got sucked in. The reason that is so fascinating is that if that is true, we can find out our past and predict out future at the same time by harnessing this information. A very fascinating article indeed. His findings should be presented soon. (1)
