Photolog with WordPress
I have been working on a Photolog which uses WordPress and would really like to know what people think of it. The features of this Photolog include:
– XHTML compliant code – Simple once click addition of photos, auto thumbnail and resizing – Extraction of EXIF information from original photo and saved as meta – Easy installation, as easy as installing WordPress – Simple, clean design and look – Simple navigationI still have some more work to get the archives and the paged navigation work correctly, but here is Pictorialis – My new Photolog.
Here is a beta version. This might have some errors so please be careful with existing databases. Post errors/suggestions on here.
Thanks.

I haven’t played with too many photologs, but I have recently begun searching for something to use. This seems simple enough on the front end, what does the admin side look like?
Comment by mark 4/10/2004 @ 1:57 pmI’ll wait to redo my photolog once you finish this one babe. Thanks a bunch! Happy Easter to you hun!
Comment by Shae 4/10/2004 @ 10:30 pmAs I said over at WebToolsCollection…I’m not at all PISSED about NOT being able to BETA test this. Sniff.
Comment by Craig 4/11/2004 @ 3:56 amThe installation was easy. I noticed one new feature….I can add pictures from the post.php page. I am currently modifying the wp-layout.css as I want to put little pics up. You can see it at http://ssovida.com/phoblog/wp-layout.css
BTW noticed a small bug while posting this…the comment area runs into the “toledo bloggers” list…so I can’t clearly see what I am typing when I get to that area.
Comment by Sam 4/11/2004 @ 5:23 pmWill this be included in the second coming of wuhwuh? Also, are you still thinking about packaging a wiki? I’m about to install a wiki on my site but will wait if it might be included. From what I see the photoblog looks great – cool pics.

Comment by brad bane 5/3/2004 @ 10:13 pmMaybe I’m just being ignorant, but when I downloaded the files to update my CURRENT wordpress installation I found that the files were for someone who hasn’t already setup Wordpress? The installation/readme file was a little inconclusive as to what I should do – replace ALL the current wordpress files? Is it so hard to write out a good installation file? Help please..
