Which side of a lane do you drive on?
This is a very strange revelation and I believe I am wrong (at least I hope I am wrong). But play along with me here. This is what is needed of you.
When you are driving today, try to notice which side of a lane you drive on or tend to veer towards. Some people hog the sidewalk and others almost run into yu through the lines on the road. Once you have noticed the side, come back to this entry and click on more. Dont click on more before you do the noticing thing, you will ruin the surprise and the whole meaning of this post.
I drive on the left. Not the extreme left, but I tend to move towards the left of the lane in subconscious driving. I am middle left politically. I notice a lot of black people (not being racist here, just being judgemental) drive on the extreme left of the lane, almost scraping your side if you happen to be on the other side of that lane.
Does your political view represent the side of the lane you drive on?
Please tell me I am wrong about this!

I crowd the left too, because it’s easiest to see/estimate. Politically, I’m very much to the right (not to be confused with the republican party, mind you, of whom I have an incredibly low opinion as I find them to be deceitful and exploitative – not even representing their own standpoint anymore). So there’s at least one negative correlation for you. And a guy who’s mad that there is no longer a “right wing” choice in american politics. Only middle left and middle right, with an emphasis on middle
Comment by Tom 4/2/2004 @ 6:17 amI just came across your blog and while browsing your posts came across this one about driving. Interestingly, I wrote a post in my own blog last August that confirms what you are saying here. If you’re interested, here is the URL:
